Working for MultAlign means working for an organisation that is youthful, informal and fun. We set great store by making work a pleasurable experience, and we invest a great deal in our employees in order to train them up into fully competent alignment engineers with expert knowledge. We work a great deal in the shipping and offshore sectors (both marine and inland navigation) and in the industrial sector, and our work is spread throughout the whole world.
In addition, we spend a lot of time on developing new products that are innovative and of interest to our sector. For example, we have patented our own adjustable mount and a continuous monitoring system for aligning machines and engines. Our employees are given every opportunity to contribute their ideas in this regard, as well as the freedom to develop and research their own solutions.
To summarise, working for MultAlign will mean expanding your knowledge in all areas concerning machines and engines, as well as an enjoyable working environment.
At present, we are seeking to recruit:
An Alignment Engineer (male/female)
As an alignment engineer, you will be responsible for investigating and correcting the alignment of machines, engines, pumps, axles, etc. This is an important and responsible position in view of the fact that an engine or machine cannot operate (without causing damage) unless it is correctly aligned. Completely new installations also have to be aligned in the case of new builds, which may range all the way from screw to engine.
A component of your work will also be to align and grout engines and machines, to install and align bearings, and to check the alignment of screw shaft pipes. Furthermore, your work will also include the compilation of reports.
Our office is located in Alphen aan de Rijn and your work will be performed throughout the whole of the Netherlands, although for the most part around Rotterdam.
During the first few months, you will mainly be accompanying other alignment engineers as part of your training and learning period. In general, work will be performed during normal working hours. However, the need to work overtime or at the weekend does arise with regularity.
What we require of you:
- Education/work and intellectual level: upper secondary vocational education (MBO) Mechanical Engineering (or comparable technical training)
- You will not have a 9-to-5 mentality
- You will be prepared to make yourself available at the weekend for emergency jobs once every 4 weeks
- Driving licence B
- Knowledge of aligning installations (pre)
- Experience of working in AutoCad (pre)
- Occasional availability to travel abroad for work (usually for 1 or 2 weeks)
- Good English, both oral and written (pre)
What we have to offer you:
- Good (internal) training and career path opportunities
- An informal and friendly working environment
- A (delivery) vehicle, telephone and company laptop
- A competitive salary above the Light Engineering CLA based on training and experience
- Other employment conditions in conformity with the Light Engineering CLA
If this sounds of interest to you, we will be pleased to receive your CV together with full reasons for your application.
